Transparency act and Sustainability
Sustainability
Norlense works to ensure that operations are sustainable.
The company has established a team that works actively with sustainability issues and directs a special focus on the following two of the UN’s sustainability goals:
GOAL 8 – DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
For NorLense, prioritizing goal 8 will mean creating and maintaining a work culture which respects employees’ rights, including the right to organize, negotiate and decent working conditions.
Through the company’s connection to the local community, NorLense will keep contributing by creating job opportunities and local economic development.
Goal 8 also focuses on compliance with relevant laws and regulations
linked to transparency, employment law and business practices, which is a matter of course for NorLense
GOAL 12 – RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
By prioritizing goal 12, NorLense will focus on reducing waste generation in its production processes and throughout the life cycle of its products.
Reuse and recycling, training and information towards customer, to ensure environmentally friendly use, maintenance and disposal of products are key elements in achieving this goal.
NorLense will work to optimize the use of resources, including materials and energy, in order to minimize the environmental impact and reduce costs related to operation. This may involve streamlining production processes, operation of facilities and transition to more sustainable materials.
By prioritizing goal 12, NorLense can also promote sustainable solutions through offering increased use of sustainable third-party products that contribute to reduced environmental impact, for example by offering solar cell solutions for the operation of tent camps or electrically powered winches for our Oil Recovery products.
